Sea Shepherd - Marine Debris Bracelets
The Vaquita (Phocoena sinus), the world’s smallest & most endangered cetacean. The vaquita is a porpoise that is found only in Mexico’s Gulf of California and they are on the thin edge of extinction directly due to human activity. Found only in the northern Gulf of Mexico, it is Mexico’s only endemic marine mammal. Extinction of the vaquita, the world’s most endangered marine mammal, is imminent without the immediate elimination of illegal fishing and removal of deadly gillnets from the vaquita’s environment.
Our bracelets are handcrafted from recycled marine rope debris collected during beach cleanup projects. Each piece of salvaged rope is unique with slight variations in color and condition, caused by natural weathering. All bracelets are 100% waterproof. Join us in supporting this important cause by helping spread awareness of marine debris and its negative impacts on the environment.
Each bracelet purchased helps keep our oceans clean & represents the life of a marine animal saved from entanglement.
