Sea Shepherd - Milagro Collection
“Milagro” means “miracle” in Spanish – and thus, Operation Milagro is a very appropriate name for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society’s campaign.
Sea Shepherd investigates and documents when laws to protect the world's oceans and marine wildlife are not enforced. They use innovative, direct actions to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas marine sanctuaries and in countries' sovereign waters through cooperative agreements with established law enforcement agencies. International laws and agreements exist to protect ocean wildlife and marine habitats, but they can be difficult to enforce because of lack of political will, insufficient economic resources, or transnational boundaries that blur jurisdiction. Where a law enforcement vacuum exists, Sea Shepherd acts to fill that void.
Our bracelets are handcrafted from illegal fishing nets collected by the Sea Shepherd crew during Operation Milagro. Each piece of salvaged rope is unique with slight variations in color and condition, caused by natural weathering. All bracelets are 100% waterproof.
Each bracelet purchased helps keep our oceans clean & represents the life of a marine animal saved from entanglement.
